  2. Just like to say how I feel about our annual Reunion, it is only my opinion and I Deeply Respect everyone else's opinion
Hank amongst others have worked tirelessly keeping the memories of one of the greatest postings (11 Ind Fld Sqn Malaysia) alive by organising an annual reunion for many years now, Julie and Graham taking the reins these last few years and doing a damn good job too. Maureen and I have enjoyed every one we were able to attend

It was a life changing posting for many of us for many different reasons. It was such a unique posting, incorporating an Australian troop, some who had seen action in Vietnam, a privilege indeed to have served with them. I will never forget those years 1967 to 70. Posted to the greatest Sqn, alongside some of the greatest comrades, young and having the experience and time of our lives. Because that came to an end with the termination of 11 Sqn being an independent Sqn in 1970 it is inevitable that age is going to take its toll and numbers will diminish. We can't re-create the memories we hold, and lose as we fade away by introducing new blood. It can't work, it would become a gathering of like minded people, not a REUNION of men and their families who served such a memorable life together. As my Grandfather who was an "Old Contemptable" once said "we get to the few who carry the memories of many and fade away gracefully!!
